an odd couple for the 21st century

What if the woman who wrote the book on etiquette and politeness for woman in the 19th century came back to life in 2021 and picked up where she left off? Polite Society from Coat Tale productions and screenwriters Dana Speer and Nick Hagen asks that very question, with some surprisingly hilarious results.

Nick Hagen and Paige McKenzie collaborate on the shot.

Fast forward to the year 2021 and advice for woman has changed… dramatically. But there’s still plenty being doled out. Society has changed too. But some things never change and when Florence is accidentally brought back to life by a slovenly young female journalist, they have to learn how to work and live together to make the most of the situation.

Florence Hartley gave advice to women of the 19th century for a living. Everything from how to dress to how to flirt to how to date and more. If a young woman wasn’t sure about proper etiquette, Florence believed she had the answer. So eventually she wrote a wildly popular book on the subject.

Nick, Paige and Mason Brown block out the scene.
